What to Expect After an Energy Healing or Sound Healing Session

Hello beautiful soul,

If you’re reading this, we may have just had a session together, or you’re thinking about booking one and wondering what to expect. Energy healing and sound healing work on a deep, cellular level, shifting things energetically, emotionally, and even physically. Because of that, integration is key, and I want to share what you might experience and how to best support yourself in the days that follow.

Caring for Yourself After a Session

One of the most important things you can do is drink plenty of filtered water, especially over the next four days. Your body is releasing old energy, and water helps flush and renew your system. Think of it as a reset for your entire being.

It’s also important to give yourself space and time to process. Energy healing can bring up emotions that have been buried for a while. I’ve seen this firsthand. After a session with my sister, she found herself deeply emotional for about 12 hours, experiencing waves of sadness. If this happens, know that it’s completely normal. Be gentle with yourself. Let the emotions come and go without judgment. Journaling, spending time in nature, or taking a warm bath can help you move through the release with ease.

Possible Experiences After a Session

Each person’s healing journey is unique, but here are some things you might notice:

Deep relaxation – You may feel peaceful, calm, or even lighter.

Emotional waves – You might feel great right away, but emotions could surface later when you’re alone. These emotions might come in waves, from bursts of joy and laughter to unexpected tears or other unprocessed feelings. Allow yourself to feel them fully, without judgment. Know that this is part of your body’s natural re-calibration as it releases and processes energy.

Vivid dreams or memories resurfacing – Your subconscious is processing and clearing. If old memories or intense dreams arise, acknowledge them and let them go.

Feeling more energised or lighter – Some people feel an instant shift, while for others, the changes unfold gradually.

Temporary detox symptoms – You might experience mild headaches, fatigue, increased thirst, or body aches as stagnant energy clears. Rest, hydrate, and trust the process.

How to Support Your Healing

💛 Listen to your body – Rest when needed and honor any insights that arise.

💛 Journal your thoughts and emotions – Writing can help process the shifts.

💛 Spend time in nature – Fresh air and grounding energy support integration.

💛 Avoid distractions – Allow space to tune in rather than numbing out with screens or busyness.

💛 Eat nourishing foods – Support your body with whole, clean foods that feel good to you.

Final Thoughts

Healing is a journey, not just a single event. Whether you notice immediate changes or your transformation unfolds gradually, trust that your body and soul are doing exactly what they need to. Be patient, be kind to yourself, and allow the energy to work its magic.
